Thursdays In The Davisphere

Starting September 1st, Davis Downtown will be bringing outstanding music, delicious food, and great family fun back to Central Park with Thursdays in The Davisphere! With more than 20 food and beverage vendors, including a beer and wine garden, and family entertainment including face painting, a 360 photo booth, live music, and more, this is a weekly event you don't want to miss! Thursdays in the Davisphere will run every Thursday, from September 1st - October 27th, from 5PM - 10PM.

So, what exactly is The Davisphere? It's an energetic, eclectic, community-centric event that is founded on the idea that people are better when they are able to be together. Having a sense of community is a uniting feeling. Being a part of a greater whole is what makes communities like Davis so special. The Davisphere is looking to tap into that energy and reignite the spark in the Davis community that's been dampened the last few years with social distancing and shutdowns. While the event is scheduled for September through October this year, the goal is for The Davisphere to be an active weekly event from May through October for years to come.

The headlining musical act for the opening week of The Davisphere is Thunder Cover. Thunder Cover features performances of songs spanning from the 1960s all the way to today's hits. The Davisphere couldn't ask for a more energetic band to kick off the festivities, and if history is any indicator, Central Park will be rocking and dancing right along with the band as they perform some of your all-time favorite songs from 7 PM - 10 PM. Opening the show at 5 PM is Noise Violation, a talented Davis community band promising to play loud and entertain in a quirky, fun manner the only way they know how!

The Davisphere's Beer and Wine Garden will be run by University of Beer and will feature craft beer and ciders on tap along with local wine selections. A portion of alcohol sales will benefit a different Davis nonprofit organization that will be featured each and every week. Week 1 delivers a food and beverage lineup sure to make you bring out your Thanksgiving pants. You know what I'm talking about, don't be ashamed, embrace the stretchy waistline! Buckhorn BBQ, Dumpling House, FatFace, The Hotdogger, Kathmandu, and many more! Keep an eye out every week for the lineups as some will change week to week.

Downtown Davis will be THE spot to be in Davis on Thursdays for the next two months!
